Natural and Artificial Causes of Global Warming
The main cause of global warming is green house effect and the gases involving in green house effect are carbon dioxide, methane, sulphur dioxide and nitrous oxide. These gasses are the playing hazards in recent times and thus result in increasing the temperature of earth.
Natural Resources like carbon dioxide, methane entrap heat in the atmosphere. Methane is obtained from rice paddies, bacteria in bogs bovine flatulence, fossil fuel manufacture and many more such kind of resources. When rice is grown on flooded fields, anaerobic situation build up and the organic matter in the soil decays, releasing methane to the atmosphere. Nitrous oxide, which is a colorless gas with a sweet odour, is another green house gas.
Other cause is deforestation, trees helps in reducing the percentage of carbon dioxide gases during there respiration. So by cutting trees, consumer for carbon dioxide will not be available thus causing increment in the percentage of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases. Facts said about quarter percent of carbon dioxide increases due to burning of wood and coal. Because while burning of wood and coal oxygen is consumed and carbon contents are released in the atmosphere like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other carbon contents.
Artificial Resources like emission of gasses through automobiles and industries. These are the major source of producing the carbon dioxide as well as other gasses like sulphur dioxide, nitrous oxide, cars with catalytic converters, the use of fertilizers in agriculture and the burning of organic matter which will further increase the temperature of earth. The percentage of these gasses increased in the recent decades leads to global warming.
Other factor comes in account is the burning of the waste from houses by the sweeper which includes raw waste vegetables scrap and polythenes and other harmful material. This material while burning produces lots of harmful gases like sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, etc which causes global warming.
City gridlock means traffic lock. As we all are familiar with the traffic jams because of there common occurrence. Survey shows that people stuck in traffic jams never switch of there engines and which leads to consumption of gallons of fuel. This fuel after combustion produces tones of carbon dioxide as well as contents of sulphur oxide and carbon monoxide, which further increases pollution thus leads to global warming.
The tree less plains in arctic and sub arctic which is also known as Tundra is a sink which contains billion tones of carbon in frozen state. This frozen carbon is now begins to convert into carbon dioxide in tremendous amount. This is because of the increasing temperature of earth leads to melting of frozen carbon which further converted into carbon dioxide. This is what we called as man’s biggest blunder to carbon dioxide source alive.
Use of the chlorofluorocarbon product which react with our ozone layer as well as increases the amount of carbon dioxide in atmosphere. This is present in our deodorants and other cosmetics products and some household products. So the products should be banned or should be in limited use.
