Most of us will have a bathroom fan because they can really help when it comes to removing odors but they might have some problems with them and the need to get them repaired or replaced could be something that is needed. You are going to have to either to replace the unit or get it fixed which either could be complicated so you are going to have to do a few things first so if you can find whether to either fix or replace any parts or the whole unit itself. 1.You will need a screwdriver to remove your grilles or cover because there will be around three or four in place to help secure the cover so this is going to be your first and very easy part.
2.You might have to find your wire hangers which are keeping your ceiling fan in place; this is actually mounted so you need to take out your light bulb and remove the nut so that you can get to your motor. Remember this should be done when your light is off and cool otherwise you are going to burn your fingers or hand.
3.You are going to have to take the cover off so you have t be careful and remain safe at all times. If your fan is on the wall then you could take half of the paint off around your unit when you are taking off the fan. You don’t want to have to repaint your walls because of this but unless you are going to repaint soon then you can be as careless as you like but if not then do be careful or you might have to repaint the area again.
What you need to know when you are going to remove the electric motor;
1.You need to remove your fan cover so that you can see your motor.
2.You will find that your motor is actually got a housing box which the motor will be plugged into so that it helps power up the fan.
3.You will see that your fan housing box has been put into place with some screws that keeps the box secure.
4.You will need to detach your motor from the fan housing box; do to this then you need to remove your harness which keeps your wires secure.
What you will need to know when you wish to remove your bathroom fan;
1.All power in your home or to your bathroom and your fan should be turned off completely so there are no accidents.
2.You need to make sure you motor is working properly so you need a circuit tester and start to test each of your electrical wires. This will tell you your unit is off.
3.Remember to have some safety equipment like goggles so that your eyes are protected.
