Regardless of various laws and regulations, it is the personal commitment that is needed to save the environment from global warming. This doesn’t demand implementation of great changes, just a very simple life style change that will contribute a lot in protecting the environment.

Below is a list of some simple changes that serve a great purpose.
• Plant at least one small plant in the balcony if you don’t have land to do so. This will help to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air.
• Take efforts to save various forms of energy. Making a great use of sunlight and switching off lights when not in use will save electricity. This saves a great amount of water and wind power that is used to generate electricity.
• Harness available natural energy sources. Use of solar water heating system saves energy costs and also reduces the emission of various gases like hydrocarbons that occurs in other systems.
• Make use of eco-friendly cleaning products.
• Try to find environment friendly alternatives to things that are being used currently. For example, make use of paper bags if possible instead of plastic bags.
• Regulate the use of automobiles and prefer walking if possible. This will not only save money, but also develops good health and reduces the extent of air pollution. If you prefer to use cars, prefer bio-fuel rather than gasoline. Bio-fuels have a great impact in saving environment by reducing the extent of gaseous emissions and particulate matter. It even controls the extent of hydrocarbons released in to the environment by use of LPG. Bio-fuel plants are cheap and easy to install.
• Adopt construction methods that make the building air-tight. This will reduce the energy costs used for heating purposes and even save the environment. Make use of construction material that is eco-friendly like greater recycling ability. Harness natural resources to maximum extent.
• Follow a green working environment. Some of the eco-friendly measures are to reduce the use of paper and fax machines, instead make efficient use of scanners, e-technology advancements like e-conference facilities, e-mail and fax modems. Make use of products to spread the message of being eco-friendly to the public.

In addition to following eco-friendly life style, try to encourage and increase the awareness among others about the environment impacts. Make it a part of the child education. A collective effort of society as a whole will serve to reduce environment pollution and give future generations a better place to live in.

Average landscaping fabrics are distinguished by super quality fabrics due to this characteristic. Plastic sheets have failed to serve the purpose of deterring weeds. Although it doesn’t let weeds grow but it’s impossible for air and water to flow through it. Poor permeable fabrics may allow so much of water that the water may wash away everything present on surface of fabric like coverings or bark.

Since global warming is seen as a result of increased production of green house gases, an effective solution to the problem is to reduce the amount of green house gases produced. This can be done by switching over to clean energy sources, ones that do not produce green house gases. Examples of clean energy sources are solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectric power and so on. Automobiles should be made fuel efficient and use energy from clean sources. The design of hybrid cars is a step in this direction. The reliance on fossil fuel must be reduced in all areas. Active research should be encouraged in the use of clean energy sources. The practice of energy conservation must be made mandatory.

Global warming is a serious issue these days. With the increase in the use of automobiles as well as work load in industries this issue really needs to be considered. Government should take proper measures to protect trees as well as should take efforts in planting more trees by making public parks or environment parks.

Prohibiting green leaves broken from branches of trees, to burn by some uneducated gardeners as this increases the amount of carbon dioxide in atmosphere. Those leaves should be buried under soil so that it helps in improving the fertility of the soil.

Use cars and light trucks that get good gas mileage. In fact driving a sports utility vehicle adds to global warming and pollution. SUVs emit 40% more global-warming pollutants (28 pounds of carbon dioxide per gallon) and 50% more air pollution than the average car. An SUV is 4 times as likely to rollover in an accident. If car manufacturers were to increase their vehicle’s average gas mileage about 3 miles per gallon, country could save a million barrels of oil every day, thus reduces the oil costs annually.

Wind power is an abundant, clean and affordable alternative to coal and other fossil fuels and the cost of wind energy is now less than that of coal. The direct cost of energy from large wind turbines has dropped to three to four cents per kilowatt-hour, comparable with that from new pulverized coal power plants.
